The Hundred Acre Wood in Lockdown: a whimsical response to lockdown, written and read by Nicola Leader.
During lockdown, as with many families, Nicola Leader and her family found new ways to connect and interact with one another to make up for not being able to meet in person. They decided to set up various weekly challenges amongst themselves, one of which was to write the start of a book. Nicola chose to write a small and charming parody of how Pooh and Piglet might have responded to the Covid Pandemic, had the Hundred Acre Wood been put into lockdown.
We thought that BridLit audiences might enjoy this lighthearted piece which so cleverly captures a universal experience, in a genre we are all so warmly familiar with.
