Alastair Campbell – But What Can I do – Why Politics Has Gone So Wrong and How You Can Help Fix It

We all agree our politics is a mess! We have leaders who can’t or shouldn’t be allowed to lead!  It’s no surprise that so many of us feel frustrated, let down and drawn to ask ‘But what can I do?’

That question is the inspiration behind Alastair Campbell’s new book, and not least in reaction to The Rest is Politics, the chart-topping podcast he presents with former Tory minister Rory Stewart.  Part call to arms, part practical handbook, BUT WHAT CAN I DO? is required reading for anyone who wants to make a difference. Writer and journalist, political strategist and mental health campaigner, Campbell insists we get involved in order to  confront our frustrations and change things.

Description

Alastair Campbell needs little introduction. Having first worked as a journalist for the Mirror Group, he went on to become Tony Blair’s press secretary, official spokesman and director of strategy. He now splits his time between writing and speaking on politics both here and overseas. His podcast: The Rest is Politics in which he has joined forces with Rory Stewart, is a massive success. Campbell is also a leading ambassador for the mental health campaign: Time to Change. A Yorkshireman by birth, he is a staunch supporter of Burnley Football Club and a very proficient bagpiper.
