Description

Christopher Stocks is an author, journalist and trainee bell-ringer. His first book, Forgotten Fruits (Windmill Books, 2009), a social history of British fruit and vegetables, was chose by Monty Don as his favourite book of the year. He is also the author of The Book of Pebbles (Thames & Hudson, 2020).

Rachel James is a keen gardener on the Isle of Purbeck, in a garden above the sea on the Dorset coast. Her and her husband aim for plant diversity, bearing in mind the many plants and flowers which would not thrive on our terrain.
